UNICEF commissioned Nicolas Axelrod over several occasion to document the organizations various projects around Cambodia.

Nicolas’ first assignment back in 2010 was to travel to seven provinces and document UNICEF”s work across all of it's programs for Cambodia’s 2011 - 2015 country program.

UNICEF in Cambodia works as part of the United Nations system to promote and protect the rights of children and women. UNICEF’s work is guided by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and core human rights treaties, especially the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

On several occasions, UNICEF commissioned Nicolas Axelrod and Thomas Cristofoletti to document the organization’s various projects around Cambodia and Thailand.

Nicolas’ first assignment back in 2010 was to travel to seven provinces and document UNICEF”s work across all of its programs for Cambodia’s 2011 - 2015 country program.

In August 2020, Unicef East Asia and Pacific communications office contacted Thomas Cristofoletti to participate in a collaborative regional photography project for the release of their new report on #COVID19 “Recover, Rebound, Reimagine”.

In 2021 and 2022, Nicolas produced two videos, one about digital literacy in Vietnam and Thailand and the second he was commissioned to document the visit of UNICEF Executive Board to Thailand.
